KuppingerCole extends team of analysts with seasoned experts Paul Simmonds and Dan Blum

The independent analyst company KuppingerCole announces that two well-known analysts have joined their team. Paul Simmonds, best known as CEO of the Global Identity Foundation and Dan Blum, Principal Consultant at Security Architects Partners and formerly senior VP of the Burton Group, are now Fellow and Senior Analysts respectively at KuppingerCole and will strengthen the company with their advisory experience.

Paul Simmonds is CEO of the Global Identity Foundation and was previously a consulting CISO as well as the Global CISO for AstraZeneca, Global CISO for ICI, Head of Information Security with a high security web hosting provider and Global Information Security Manager at Motorola. He co-founded the Jericho Forum and served on its board of management through its ten-year existence. He is also the co-editor of the Cloud Security Alliance’s „Security Guidance for Critical Areas of Focus in Cloud Computing v3.0”. Simmonds has been awarded both “Chief Security Officer of the Year” and „Best Security Implementation“ at the SC Magazine Awards and is twice listed as one of Network World’s “most powerful people in networking“. Furthermore, he sits on the global advisory board of a number of global companies, as well as the Executive Advisory Board of ISSA UK.

Dan Blum is an internationally-recognized expert in security, privacy, cloud computing and identity management. He develops Security Architects Partners’ business partnerships, creates content and leads consulting engagements. Blum provides security workshops, assessments, architectures and custom consulting services for large enterprise customers covering multiple areas of expertise. Furthermore, he assists enterprises with many areas of security architecture, policy and strategy development. Dan Blum was honored in 2011 as Golden Quill Analyst at Gartner, and as a Privacy by Design Ambassador 2013. He authored 2 books, written for numerous publications and participated in standards groups such as CSA, ISACA, OASIS and others.
